In Review: FRIVIL DATING APP, INDIA + FRIVIL PARTY

I had a super fun time collaborating with the team at FRIVIL. For those of you who asked me on Instagram about Frivil, well it is an all new, invite only mobile application in India that lets you pick a good looking date based on your popularity. You can find a match for yourself, every single day! Before I share my first hand experience of the app, here's a photo that was shot by the ace photographer Bhumika B at the Frivil party.

So Frivil allows you to sign up on the app using your Facebook account in order to showcase authentic profiles and profile pictures.

What makes it stand out is it's all new approach to this dating scene in India. So while there are many apps in the market that promote dating basis interest and ideologies, this app actually tells you to up your game by getting tapped on. Which in simple words mean that your profile goes through FRIVIL face offs, getting tapped (or not). The more you get tapped on, more popular you are. Sounds fun right?

The layout is easy to navigate, you can see it on my screen! The interface is very smooth but most importantly, the concept is new. To get started you have to sign up with your Facebook account and then you receive a code in your inbox and right after that, all the quirky matching up happens!

FRIVIL shows you 2 good looking people at once, and you can go ahead with the one who find more attractive simply by tapping on their photo. Which also means that the first most important thing is to upload one the most attractive looking photo of yourself on the app. How you get your dating options depends on your popularity. Every evening at 9 PM, FRIVIL works out every FRIVlLers popularity and location. The ones who share same popularity as you show up in your inbox as your potential match for the day. Once the photo upload is done, add an interesting one liner about yourself in the caption and then simply check your popularity on the app. The rank that you are served is based based on your popularity range and wins over others.

Frivil puts great emphasis on the quality of profiles that are screened in as the very first step. Since it is faily new in the marketplace, it is invite only. FRIVIL'ers are exclusive and you wouldn't find a very large data base until it becomes accessible to a larger audience. But having set that, you can give this dating app a try and score some interesting dates for your self.
