Puffy eyes are usually be attributed to excessive crying, excessive physical stress, a change in weather, hangovers, bad diet, lack of sleep or excess water weight. Puffy eyes can make you look tired and ill. But you can easily take care of them with some simple, natural home remedies. If you want to get rid of those puffy eyes within minutes , try these natural home remedies :



1. Drink lots of Water
The easiest and surest way of getting rid of puffy eyes is to drink water. When the body is well hydrated, there is less chance of water retention that can cause your under-eye area and other parts of body to swell. Water also helps flush toxins out of the body.You need to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water each day. 

2. Aloe Vera gel 
Aloe Vera is rich in vitamin E and antioxidants and it is known to soothe skin and help in repairing of skin cells. The Aloe vera gel has anti-inflammatory properties which helps in decreasing eye puffiness. 

3. Cold Spoons
This simple home remedy is surprisingly very effective. It will help tighten up the skin around your eyes as well as relax the blood vessels, thus offering relief to puffy and tired eyes. Just pop 5 or 6 metal spoons in your refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes.Then lie back with the cup of the spoons over your closed eyes for a minute until the spoon becomes warm.

4. Chilled Tea Bags
Tea bags contain antioxidants and caffeine that help tighten and tone the skin around the eyes which increases the circulation and helps getting rid of the puffiness. Any type of tea bags whether black or green can be used to get rid of those puffy eyes. Just chill the tea bags in the fridge for 30 minutes. then lie down and put the tea bags over your eye lids for 10-15 minutes , you can repeat the process a few more times.

5. Cucumber slices
Chilled cucumbers slices make a good remedy for treating puffy eyes. The enzymes and the astringent properties in cucumbers help reduce inflammation and help tighten the skin. This remedy will also help get rid of wrinkles and dark circles around your eyes. Just cut a cucumber into thick slices.Chill the slices in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.Place the cold slices on your eyelids for about 10 minutes or until they become warm.Repeat the process several times a day.

6. Raw Potato Slices
Just like the cucumber trick, slices of potatoes contain catecholase, an enzyme which helps to speed up the de-puffing process. Just lie back and place some fridge-cold and raw sliced potatoes over your closed eyes for  about 10 minutes. Repeat the process several times a day.
