Hair Alert: Scalp Detox For Stronger and Healthy Hair

By

Hair detoxify is the most important thing for all your hair woes. No matter how many times you shampoo your hair, it is essential to detoxify your scalp. Major of your hair issues such as hair fall, dandruff, greasy hair is due to the dirty scalp. The dirty scalp can be due to various factors like hair styling, hot showers, chemicals, pollution, and much more. They clog the hair follicles, build up the dead skin cells and boost excessive sebum which leads to unhealthy hair and several hair problems. That is why we strongly recommend the scalp detox method. You don't need any high-end products for your scalp detox, as the ingredients which we have mentioned below are inexpensive and easily available in your kitchen. So, rush to your kitchen and turn your hair healthy, glossy and stronger.

1. Head massage:
If you want to remove the toxins from your hair, then massage your hair, as simple as that. It is one of the easiest and effective ways to detox your scalp. All you need to do is apply oil on your fingertips and massage your scalp, this will remove the dead skin cells, improve circulation and increase hair growth. You can use coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil or sesame oil and detox your scalp.

Tip: Before your beauty sleep, you can even massage your scalp without oil and stimulate blood flow to your scalp.

2. Lemon:
A glass of lemon juice is an excellent detox food for the body, similarly the lemon juice assists in cleaning the scalp. It is rich in alpha hydroxy acid that removes flakiness from the scalp and refreshes it completely. Lemon will remove dandruff problems and add a shine to your hair. All you would need is a mixture of 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, ½ cup water. Pour the mixture on your hair and gently massage your scalp for a few minutes, later rinse with cold water.

3. Baking Soda, olive oil, and cinnamon powder:
We all know baking soda is an excellent Exfoliator for your skin, and it works impeccably for your hair. Baking soda absorbs oil, removes dirt, flakes, dead skin cells and lets your scalp breathe. Olive oil promotes hair growth, fight dandruff, and cinnamon powder has marvelous antibacterial properties that will keep your scalp clean.

How to make the scalp detox mixture:
Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply the mixture on your scalp and in gentle circular motion massage your scalp for 1-2 minutes. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and rinse with cold water.
Tip: Baking soda is alkaline in nature and can turn your scalp dry, hence we suggest you apply this mixture once a month.
