India is having a Global Citizen Festival 2016 which is being held in Mumbai. The amazing part is that Coldplay will be performing live for the first time ever in India. The actor, known for his infectious energy levels, will be a part of this six-hour long concert to be held in November and we will see him share the stage with the iconic band too. Alongside Ranveer even Aamir Khan, A.R. Rahman, Farhan Akhtar and a few more celebs will perform at this huge event too!

As per a source, “With this performance, Ranveer follows up on his recent stage performance alongside Major Lazer. He was one of the most obvious choices to open for Coldplay.”

Various internationally recognised artists will also be performing at the event with world leaders and the Indian political leaders attending the show. Their main focus is to drive sustainable change through direct engagement with the youth. Initially it was claimed that the tickets for the Coldplay show would be starting from RS 25,000 and would go up to a whopping Rs 5,00,000 as per different seats. But thankfully the Global Citizen Festival organisers revealed that the tickets would be FREE, but with a few conditions obviously! Fans will earn these free tickets by taking part in campaigns to support education, equality and sanitation in India. All they have to do is sign up to their new platform and become a Global Citizen. people then have to complete the festival’s action campaigns to earn the ticket.
