Shahid Kapoor is super excited these days for the new phase in his life - fatherhood . And being a parent means getting changes in the house to accommodate and welcome the new member . For this, the actor is gearing up to remodel his house according to the soon-to-be-born baby!

When Shahid Kapoor shifted to Praneta Apartments in Juhu, it generated quite a buzz in Bollywood. And as per a popular daily, earlier the actor, who acquired a huge basement space and a ground floor sea-facing apartment with a spacious garden space, had modelled the place to make it more like a bachelor's pad. There was the basement, which was his party area, the upper deck of the house had one huge master bedroom with a big bathroom, dining area, kitchen and hall with a powder room.

Reportedly, Shahid hadn't even made the second bedroom because he had no idea he would be getting hitched. Last July, the actor got married to Mira Rajput and the master bedroom became the star couple's private space. But Mira who is a very private person didn't want many people crowding into “her” space. So changes were made accordingly. The party area became Shahid's work area where he started having his meetings and story sessions.

Now, as they are getting ready to welcome the baby, more remodeling is happening. Shasha admitted that a special room is being made for the baby. And guess who told Sasha right from the start to be prepared for all these changes? His father Pankaj Kapur. “I should have listened to dad from the start,” shared Shahid smilingly. “After all, he is more worldly-wise than I am,” added the actor.
