3 Ways On How to Clean Makeup Brushes Like A Pro!

By

If you are a makeup savvy, then you would know the value of makeup brushes in your life. They enhance our features and do the perfect job of beautifying our face. But if you are someone who uses the brushes daily, then it is best to clean them once a week as they become the breeding home for bacteria and other impurities that can cause breakouts, zits, and skin infection. That is why it is important to clean makeup regularly and we give you 2 easy ways on how to clean your makeup brush like a pro.

Antibacterial soap and olive oil:

This is one of the easiest methods to clean your makeup brush. Antibacterial soap or dish cleaner will remove the bacteria and olive oil will break down the makeup in your brush and even condition them.
1. Firstly damp your brush in lukewarm water, avoid hot water as it may damage the bristles. Make sure the water doesn't enter the shaft part else it will loosen the glue and the brush can fall out.
2. Then mix 2 tablespoons of antibacterial soap with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and dip the damp brush into this mixture and coat it completely. Now swoosh the brush on your palm or a textured mat (it will effortlessly remove the dirt from the brush).
3. Rinse the brush with lukewarm water and remove excess water using a dry paper towel. Dry your makeup brush by keeping it upside down, this way the water would enter the handle and prevent any shedding of brush hairs.

Baby Shampoo:

Another easy way to clean your makeup brush is the handy baby shampoo. If you don't have baby shampoo, you can even use any mild shampoo and clean your brush in the same way as mentioned above.

Vinegar and Water:
Another painlessly easy way to clean your brush is by mixing 1 tablespoon of vinegar to ½ cup of lukewarm water. First, wash your brushes in lukewarm water and then dip in this mixture and swirl for a while and then wash it with lukewarm water and dry it in the upside down method. Make sure you squeeze out excessive water from the brush.

These were our easy ways to clean our makeup brush, which method do you use, share with us in the comments below.
